“Filed Gently Into A New Shape”

As a follower of the teachings of Jesus Christ, a Christian, who often wandered off from following Christ’s teachings, I am always interested in apologetic writings, most especially those which relate an individual’s seemingly personal call from Jesus Christ which compels them to become a Christian. Writings such as C.S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity, Paul Elmer More’s Pages from an Oxford Diary, G.K. Chesterton’s Orthodoxy, or Francis Thompson’s Hound of Heaven as a chaser.

Via KA-CHING! I was pointed to an interview with Paul Kingsworth, a man I knew nothing about, titled Spiritual Succession: A Conversation with Paul Kingsworth, which is interesting, and that led me to an essay Kingsworth wrote titled The Cross and the Machine. In that essay, Kingsworth relates his personal hound of heaven story, and it is well worth your time to read, even if you currently do not hear the baying of the hound.
